There are so many of us that have this incorrect notion of blessings; that we need to be “grateful” and “content” with what we’re given.
We fall so deeply into this societal construct that we fail to notice the things we’re lacking to fight for. We don’t have passions, we don’t have aspirations, and we don’t have an end means.
All we have are complaints of feeling “emptiness”; and a clouded view that “everything is okay”.
Who had the idea that it’s okay for someone to be “content” with less than being the best? Mediocrity will never be the norm for me. I’m not okay with the idea of being “content”.
I will never grow comfortable with where I’m at.
Do you still remember what motivated you?
Does it still drive you passionately?
Does it dictate your actions so profoundly that nothing is done without consideration for it?
Has it morphed into something entirely different from what it originally was?
Stay grounded and remember what initially drove you and remember to focus on the goal.
-A note to myself
